Kerianne turned the big { 1-2 } on Sept. 3.
This is a huge year for her:
Middle School ~ Young Women's!
She passed up a cake for cupcakes
(chocolate w/ coconut pecan frosting)
Yumm-O!
~
On her birthday she had early release from school
and attended Mutual for the first time
(pizza, pajamas, personal progress, & parents!).
I think she had a great time.
We sang and had cupcakes afterwards
(pretty late for all that chocolate!)
~
Yesterday at church, she received her Primary certificate
in sacrament meeting, and then
the YW "kidnapped" her from Primary!
We sang a song (the 'hello, hello' song but it went
'goodbye, hello' ~ a little tricky but fun),
graced her head with a crown,
and whisked her away to YW forever!
~
On Friday she had a few friends over for a
sleepover party.
The handful of girls were loud, crazy,
obnoxious, and didn't sleep the entire night!
That was Keri's last sleepover
for a while :o)
The gifts were great, though!
~
For her birthday she REALLY wanted a pet
(hamster to be exact).
Kennedi wanted one also,
and the two of them worked
their little hands to the bones
doing chores around the house to work for these pets
(that Mom didn't want to get).
They are now the very proud Mother's
of
Speckle & Midnight...
Isn't Speckle adorable in her little jeep?
~
Quick story:
On Kennedi's birthday (Sat. Aug 30)
we took the girls to buy their pets
and to celebrate their big days.
On the drive home,
Kennedi opens Midnight's box
wanting to pet and love on her
and the little DEVIL
bites Kennedi's finger!
You cannot imagine all the blood!
The scene:
Kennedi is screaming (& terrified),
the hamster is scared to death,
and I'm trying to control the gushing blood.
We ended up pulling over to
check out the damage
but everything was fine.
~
Lesson learned:
Small teeth = very sharp & dangerous...
and
Don't mess with a scared hamster
during transport...
~
By-the-way, here is Kerianne
on Saturday
after her friends had gone home:
Hmmm, I wonder why she's so tired!
