Our little rascal, Speckle, is always escaping from her play pen! We turn our backs for two seconds and she's gone! We'll catch her just as she's disappearing under the entertainment center. So, we decided last night to just sit and watch her in action (I must say, these hamsters are pretty dang smart!). Is she really that unhappy here, being smothered with hugs and kisses and carted around everywhere?

Once I realized that the video is sideways - that was really funny! I know what it's thinking: "I have to get out of here before someone throws me over the fence!" :-)

Yes, it is sideways thanks to our camerawoman, Kaisha! I couldn't figure out what it was on my camera at first! It's weird that I have developed such an affection for these little rodents, because I was so against getting them. Now, I really enjoy them, and even catch myself talking "baby-talk" to them...
