Game, speech, & morning surprise!

It has been a few days, and not much has happened with us!
John has been gone pretty much all week
(LA on Tues, Denver on Wed & Thurs, Orange Co tomorrow).
~ ~ ~
I was able to break away on Tues.
for Kaisha's volleyball game.
It was so fun to see her in action.
And they WON!
I got a few videos, which is pretty hard
to do in volleyball because you never know when
something is going to happen
so you just record {everything}
and nothing happens!
So, here is one shot of her out on the floor:

Kerianne is running for
6th grade Class Secretary
and made a bunch of posters to hang at the school.
She also made some cute bracelets.
She came up with a speech
(w/ help from Dad because
he's great w/ that kind of stuff!)
and gave it yesterday to 2nd period.
They all loved her!
She's pretty confident she'll win
(one of the other girls even
stole some of her material for her
own speech - tacky!)
I saw some of her posters at the school
while at Parent/Teacher conferences today
and had to get a shot:

That girl : how creative!
Her teacher's report were good,
but they did mention that she is a bit chatty!
I was actually excited to hear that!
She's always been somewhat
shy
but seems to have come out of her shell.
They said she is in her element!

This morning didn't start off so great!
Kaisha woke me up @ 6:45am
asking if I'd get up and take her to school.
Oops!
I had accidentally turned off my alarm
and didn't check it the night before
like I always do.
She missed Seminary!
She had an away game today
so they left school around 12noon
and won't be back until probably
* midnight *
It's going to be a tough morning
tomorrow!
I helped out in Kameron's class
this afternoon, which was fun.
He is having some serious issues
right now with his
eczema,
and told me the other day
that a kid in his class put hand sanitizer
all over his chair and
he sat in it.
You should have seen his legs
(why didn't I get a picture?).
His little rash had turned into
HUGE red sores
where the goop touched his skin.
I was not happy, to say the least.
It seems to be getting better today.

Hey Aim, I am so sorry to hear about Kameron's eczema:-( Nicholas is going through the same thing, bad sores all over and he cries to me and wants to know why he has to have this, it breaks my heart. We have found a good doctor and he has gave lots of good advice and Nicholas has even had to have a coulple of shots in his little hips. Good thing is it really helps to clear it up. I wish he could be lucky enough to outgrow it, we will have to cross our fingers.

Aimee, all of my kids battle with eczema too. My son Dylan gets it really bad, and right now its at its worst. We have found that perscription Elidel cream seems to work the best. Its just a matter of getting him to rub it on!

Oohhh - I want to come and punch that kid out! Give me his address!! Poor Kam. I hope it gets better.
That is cool that Keri is being called chatty!! It's good to hear that they are happy and doing well.
And I like the pic of Kaish playing vball. You'll have to get some more to show us.

I will get more pics at her next home game. I do have to say that they play in the "old gym" that only has a couple "swamp coolers" and it was stinkin HOT! So, I couldn't do much with the camera because I was constantly wiping sweat off my face!! Kam is getting better. We have this cream that works great for him, plus I changed his detergent to a pricey one that's fragrance free, etc. And he is on soy milk - we all are! He seems to do better without dairy. It's just trial and error..

Grandpa Scott used to suffer from excema also so bad when he was in a crib that his mother had to tie his hands down so he couldn't scratch. Thought Kam would like to know that. And we are SO PROUD of all of our granddaughters that they are doing so well in everything that they do!
