High School : another milestone...

This is one of my favorite pictures of Kaisha & Kerianne (Kaish is 4 and Kerianne is a few months shy of 2). They are standing by a rose bush in my Grandpa Joel's front yard (we were living there at the time while Grandpa & Jill were on a mission - fun times!).

Anyway, I've been gearing up this week to register Kaisha for high school tomorrow. High school?? Wow, I can't believe it: one more milestone under the belt! Kaish is so excited. She's been training / conditioning for volleyball and will try-out for the team on Monday. She will also start Seminary on the 18th. The h.s. campus has changed, with many new buildings built and everything painted. It looks great. My hope for Kaisha is that she stays involved w/ school & Seminary activities, stays on top of her studies, keeps active w/ volleyball, and doesn't meet a "guy" in 9th grade like her mother! Not that that was bad, but it did take away from my focus throughout high school a little bit.

Kerianne starts 6th grade and will attend a newly built school - Desert Wind Middle School. It's exciting, even with the challenges of only having half of the campus finished right now (the final phase will be complete by Nov). She has been placed in Honors classes - she is so smart :o) And she's shown an interest in volleyball also. She is going to do very well in middle school.

Pondering these things today made me think of this picture. Such beautiful, sweet, innocent, loving little girls. Just not little anymore! I am so proud of them and their accomplishments so far in life. They are the best daughters a mother could ask for...
