we had some visitors this week! john's parents ted & wanda, and his sister julie and husband bryan and their family (brylie, brayden, trey, tenley) drove down to spend a few days with us. we really enjoyed having them here. i hope they can say the same thing, even though kaisha & i were sick (and hopefully didn't get any of them sick)!! we did a few fun things:
* took them on a tour of our new home
* went to zoo lights at the phoenix zoo
* went to the mesa temple lights
* john, ted, bryan & kameron enjoyed a round of golf
* watched tangled, drew pictures, put together puzzles!
we got to hang out here with them and visit. it was so nice to have the kids all to ourselves!! we really got to know them better -- and hopefully they got to know us. we feel sad that the nieces/nephews/ cousins don't know us very well, where we live far away from everyone.
kaisha had been sick for three weeks so i decided to finally get her in to the doctor. she has a pretty bad sinus infection. we learned after hitting walgreens that she hasn't had a prescription filled in the whole 2 1/2 years we've lived in ahwatukee!! hopefully the meds will do the trick and she'll be feeling good here soon. as for me... i had to take two days off work this week to rest. must be a head cold that's taking it's sweet time!
we feel so blessed and grateful for our visitors! we got our new "york family" t-shirts from wanda to wear throughout this upcoming year. we look forward to them every Christmas! we're also excited about all the homemade suckers from julie!! we love you all and are so glad you were able to come down and visit us :0)
