{The First Nowell - Mormon Tabernacle Choir}

we had the most amazing sacrament meeting today. our ward choir & youth orchestra presented a special Christmas program. i will start by saying that we have THE most talented people & youth in our ward. this is what i'll miss most when we move. the choir sang several numbers, we had solos and group performances, two songs by the sweet primary children, narrations in between numbers by adam & karlie merrill, harp & cello numbers, violins & piano, and the list goes on! this song that i've posted was the final number that the choir sang, accompanied by the youth orchestra. it is my all-time favorite song. i was crying by the end of the meeting. our choir today sounded just like the tabernacle choir - no joke! last year i was a member of our ward choir and we learned this song. i remember watching this video for the first time and crying. i remember ryan secrist (our choir director) saying that it was an ambitious song, but he knew we could do it. i don't think i ever got through singing it without crying! it has such power. i hope you feel the same as you listen to it.  this season is so magical and i'm grateful to have felt the spirit so strong today. i think i've become a little sidetracked this year with working full-time, building a home, moving right after Christmas and deciding not to decorate or have a tree. today was a great reminder of what is most important.
