delicious scones... mmmmmm!
we had a wonderful Christmas. our main gift this year, of course, is our new home which will be ready in three short weeks. we also got a fabulous deal on a huge flatscreen t.v. for the new house a few weeks ago, but haven't even opened it up yet!
we drew secret santa names again this year. john had kennedi and he bought her a tetherball pole to set up in our new backyard. i had kameron and bought him a snuggie and a couple books. kaisha had me and bought me a really cute frame that talks about how much she loves me (!) and a metal family tree thing that has little picture frames that hang on it (to put the kids' pictures in). kerianne had john and bought him a "yuuup" t-shirt (from the show storage wars) and a golfsmith gift card. kameron had kaisha and he got her lotions & perfume. and kennedi had kerianne and got her a stuffed perry the platypus, bottle of lotion and a gift card to hollister. john then presented us with a beautiful painting of the salt lake temple i had admired at deseret book! we will put it in our family room above the couch to always remind us of what matters most.
after opening gifts we enjoyed my great-grandma t's buttermilk scones with honey butter and bacon. it was my first attempt at scones and i learned a few things, but it's certainly a new tradition for us! then we got ready for church and enjoyed sacrament meeting.
when we returned home, we prepped the turkey and got it in the oven, and then went to a movie. we saw "we bought a zoo" and absolutely loooved it! we hurried home after the movie to turn the oven off and then ran out to the house as kaisha had not been out there in a couple weeks. the rest of the night was spent cooking dinner, enjoying dinner, napping, and having fun together :0)

Sounds like a great Christmas! We've been making Grandma T's scones for a few years now. Love them!
