{ wow, this is post #251 -- I cannot believe I have done this good with blogging }
This weekend has been so great. Last night John and I went out after he got home from the OC. We had the best dinner at Lucille's BBQ - great Southern cookin'! Then we walked around Tempe Marketplace - in a refreshing 100 degrees! Okay, I can't believe that 100 degrees actually feels refreshing, but it does right now! On the way home we stocked up on a few groceries. The kids were having fun playing games together when we got home, then it was time for prayer and scriptures. Great, great night :)
Today we went on a family hike at a local park. There's a cute little hill that we walked the first time and then ran the next. I am proud to say that I was actually able to run up the thing! A little out of breath afterwards but it was worth it! We're heading back tomorrow morning - earlier though! Then we took the kids swimming at the Ahwatukee YMCA. They swam forever! Now it's time for spaghetti & meatballs :)
Tomorrow is busy: Kennedi is having a little meeting with the Primary President to talk about her baptism and the Faith in God program (uh, I've put two-and-a-half through it already, I'm pretty sure I know what we're doing!!); Kaisha has her Seminary "Sundae" Open House after church; then it's BACK TO SCHOOL MODE!! I am thrilled this year that all the kids get to ride a bus to/from school (man, what will I do with all that extra gas $$??), but the downside to this is that Kam & Kenners have to catch their bus at 7:02am :( Not too thrilled I have to say! Kaisha isn't happy that she has to walk two blocks to her bus stop. But oh well -- we'll all live! I'm going to miss them a lot but it will be nice to get back into the daily routine :)
