another late night...

Kameron had another game last night. The team started off pretty good, scoring one run - which happened to be KAM!! He was walked, stole bases, and then stole home and scored with an awesome slide! Um, we need to practice sliding ;-) He did great and got dirty, which is what's important!!! Later on at bat, he swung and the ball was a little inside and ended up hitting the bone in his wrist. He was in a lot of pain. I just wanted to run out there and hold him - if he's crying, that means it really hurts! But he dried the tears, got back up to the plate, only to strike out. We were playing the Angels and long story short - they won by a landslide. Coach Jorge wasn't thrilled. He made the boys run & run & run! In between laps, he would stop and chew them out. He actually told them that in all his years coaching, this is his worst team ever. Whoa! He did recognize Kameron and Mateo for being injured (Mateo was hit in the ribs while at bat) and being brave and not quiting. So at least there was something good said!! Kameron is doing great and trying his best, and is always being complimented about what a great kid he is and what a great attitude he has. We're so proud of him!
