still warm down here...

* It still feels great down here! Today was in the low 70's. We have yet to use the furnace. We're also not using the central air, which is very hard! Our utilities (electric, gas) are so awesome right now...
* Gasoline prices are even better - $1.64 at QT. John filled my tank this morning, for only $39! I almost didn't believe him. It will be nice to have some extra gas $$ in the wallet! Or maybe I'll need that extra dough to drive around and see all the Christmas decorations this month...
* We as a family drew names this year for Christmas. We are keeping it totally secret. It's fun to see how excited the kids are about shopping for their "secret" person. The rest of Christmas is going to be pretty humble. I haven't been shopping yet! Gotta get me some of that stupid $$ first, I guess...
* Tomorrow is a very busy day : meetings, tithing settlement, choir practice, church, dinner, FHE, bed (speaking of bed: it's getting late already!). Along with serving in the Young Women's Presidency, I have taken on our ward bulletin duties and I love it! I need to have something "visual" to keep me on schedule, so I'm super happy that they've let me help out...
* On a more serious note - John's younger sister, Debbi, was in a car accident in Tooele a few days ago. She just found out that she is expecting, so we've been worried and praying for her. It seems that things are fine right now, but the waiting begins. Debbi & Russ have four children and have been trying for another for a while now, so we pray that Debbi and the baby are healthy and will recover from this unfortunate experience quickly. We love you, Deb!

Well, I'm off to dreamland. Oh, and I think I'm actually starting to like it here in Maricopa (not the cow-pooh smell every night, but who sits outside all night long anyway!). Oh boy, I never thought I would say that - especially when I'm still so homesick for Pennsylvania (I swear I was born and raised on the wrong coast)...

It's snowing like crazy here!! I did have fun visiting you at Christmas time and being able to leisurely walk around the neighborhood looking at Christmas decorations in the mild weather!
Keep us posted on Debbi. That's scary.

All I have to say is God bless Arizona, especially October through April and sometimes May!
