Things around here are getting back to normal ~ whatever that is!
~ Friday
We put away the tree and all the decorations to find a good spot for the Ping Pong table. The house looks so bare! We then met up with Rob, Brigid, Alex, Sean & Maddie for dinner at Olive Garden in Casa Grande. They delivered gifts to us from the grandparents. Brigid gave us some of her delicious caramels - mmmmm! (thnx for the secret stash and all the b-day goodies, Brig!) We always have a great time with them...
~ Saturday
We didn't do much, just relaxed, played ping pong and cleaned the house a bit. John and Kaisha were able to figure out her I-pod issues and connect it to his laptop. She is so excited to have some new music to listen to (her I-tunes account is on our "broken" computer, that has been down for nearly a year; she hasn't downloaded anything this whole time, for fear that she'd lose everything already on it!). Kameron had a ton of time to practice on his Rip-Stik. He is dang good! He said it was tricky at first, but he and John, and even Kaish, have been out there workin' it...
~ Sunday
Sunday was slower than normal: no choir practice, no meetings. I taught the YW lesson: Money Management. After dinner our home teachers came to visit and spent two hours with us! We were talking and laughing the whole time. They are so awesome ~ Bro. Banuelos (Ricardo) and Bro. Baltimore (Richie). We love when they come. Richie even offered his Dad's expertise in television repair for our big screen. It has been giving us problems - probably due to our many, many moves (we bought it 9 years ago in Boise, so it's been across the country and back). Maybe there is hope :o)
~ Monday
Today has been nice. We all slept in, except for early-bird Kam and {surprisingly} Kennedi! Why can't she wake up early on school days? John and I heard a huge explosion and I just found out that it was at the grain plant here in town. Three men were badly burned, so it sounds like it was major. It actually scared us - it was so loud. Kaisha & Kerianne slept right through it, until 1pm actually! What a life! John headed over to LA until tomorrow night, so in that aspect things are "back to normal". Part of me cannot wait until next Monday when the kids are back in school; but the other part of me loves sleeping in and having them at home with me! Tonight we were watching t.v. and I had Mini-Moo snuggled up by my neck and she sat there for 15 minutes letting me pet her! It was so weird - she is always on the move, so quick to get away. What can I say? Grammie-Gram is attached (that's my "Grandma" nickname - I will refuse to let my grandkids call me Grandma)...
