a good weekend, gone bad...

Saturday morning...
(bright & early at 7:30am)
Kaisha and the student council were invited to walk
in the Ak-Chin Parade Saturday morning.
They met at the school early to head out
to the reservation.
It was awesome to wake up to fog!
There were parts of town that were really bad.
I could totally survive in San Fran!!
~ ~ ~
We had a great time at our ward party
Saturday night.
There was a lot of yummy food, great music,
and Santa made a surprise visit.
Kaisha took pictures and I'm not sure where
she downloaded them
(or if she did!).
But she has a great little video of Kennedi
on Santa's lap that I'll find...

My presidency meeting on Sunday was cancelled
so Kaisha and I just had choir practice.
In church, the Primary kids sang a couple of songs
and our choir sang two beautiful numbers.
We're so awesome!
Kameron gave a talk in Primary
and Kennedi gave the closing prayer.
We had a delish dinner,
but Kennedi complained that her tummy hurt.
I thought she was just hungry.
She would only eat her corn!
So after dinner we drove around to see the
Festival of Lights contest homes.
About halfway through, Kennedi was
crying and begging to go home.
We decided to finish the route another night
and came home.
And it's a good thing we did - she was SICK!
She threw up, and then soaked in the tub.
I laid her on a blanket on our bed
and then she threw up more
(I now hate corn!).
We got her snuggled into bed with us
and she was sick some more :o(
There were a couple of times that I had rolled
away from her thinking she was finally okay
and she moved to lie on her back
and started choking.
It was terrifying, to say the least.
After that, I decided to move her out
to the couch.
I turned on the t.v. and sat there with a bowl,
ready for her puke-fest every 30 min.
It was a VERY long night.
John traded posts with me at 8:30am
so I could get a few hours of sleep,
which didn't quite work out!
I would close my eyes, and then one of the kids
would come in with a question.
So I gave up and showered!!
It is now Tuesday afternoon, and she is
still a bit dizzy and sluggish.
But we haven't had any more vomit!
She's eating more and we've found
that she loves Saltines!
We are keeping our fingers crossed
that the rest of us keep healthy -
at least through Christmas!
(Lor, remember being deathly ill
on Christmas at Grandma T's?)

Yuck!! Sorry to hear you all had to go through that.
Um...no, I do not remember being deathly ill on Christmas at Grandma T's. You'll have to refresh my memory.
