memorable...

We had a great time last weekend. The baptism was lovely -- as was the weather! We had my parents, John's parents, and Lori & Miles here with us. Kennedi was thrilled! We are so grateful for all the love and support. We also felt it from those who couldn't be with us -- we missed all of you guys!!!!

There were only three little girls in our stake being baptized on Saturday. Kennedi got to go first! I do have to say that she was absolutely glowing when she came out of the water. It was beautiful! Bishop Woodbury gave some wonderful comments and then she was confirmed. Then the Bishop shared his testimony, followed by me! I was fine until I looked right at her, and then I was a wreck -- she teared up, and I lost it :)

We took a lot of great pictures afterwards, and then enjoyed lunch at our home -- all planned by Kennedi : burgers with all the fixins, macaroni salad, olives, pickles, avocados, chips, and ice water -- with pumpkin bars later on! Kennedi received so many precious gifts that she will cherish for years to come. She was even presented with a bouquet of roses at the church, courtesy of our friends the Baldwin family!! That really meant a lot to her.

Lori & Miles left after lunch to make the loooong trek back home and get back to their boys, but the grandparents were able to stay and attend church with us on Sunday. On Saturday night, we as a family enjoyed a performance of Savior of the World, presented by our super-talented stake! My dad came with us. It was amazing :)

We could not have asked for a better experience. It was great to be with family and friends. John and I still cannot believe that this was our last baptism. They grow up so fast...
