weekend staycation...

I decided over the weekend that we needed to get away! The girls had been away at camp, John had been gone most of the week, and I just needed a {BREAK} -- maybe we all needed one! So on Saturday afternoon we headed up to North Phoenix and stayed at the Pointe Hilton Tapatia Cliffs Resort. We were surprised at how packed the resort was, being summer and all! The resort had four pools scattered throughout, but we only made it to one due to the hoards of people and all walking to get to the others! Sunday morning we relaxed and slept in! It was great to get away for a day.

Yes, there's a story behind this!! As a family, we have a ton of funny things that each of us have either said or done over the years that we like to bring up and tease each other about. Well, after leaving OSF we were heading to the freeway and Kerianne ~ out of the blue ~ asks: "Uh, what does Maricopa Fwee mean?" She didn't understand that "Fwy" was an abbreviation and pronounced it as a word! It was sooo hilarious! We all busted up laughing and I of course grabbed my camera to capture the moment :) Here's to you Keri : Weeeeeeee!
