big wins : fun with dad : perfect hike

Okay, we are LOVING baseball season ;-)

* Kameron's first game was against the Rays and we lost 7-6.
* Thursday we played the Yankees and {WON} 15-10!
* Saturday night we played the Angels (one of the best teams in the league) and we {WON} again, by one freaking nail-biting point (the kids will kill me for saying the "F-word"!)! It was sooo intense, to say the least.

March was Kameron's month for a Daddy Date. He and John went out on Saturday and they bought him a new bat, new batting gloves, and other fun stuff. They came home and practiced for a bit at a park. Kam was so confident and we were sure he was going to get a hit that night. At the game, he gets up to bat and what do ya know --- he gets HIT instead!! Right on his back on the shoulder. We all could hear it and it sounded PAINFUL! He made it down to first base, lost his composure for a moment, but then was back in the game. As a Mom, I'm freaking out inside wanting to comfort him, but can't! Parents aren't allowed to communicate at all with the boys in the dugout, so it was a little hard to hold back and not ask how he was doing. The team mom took really good care of him and got an ice pack for his shoulder. We were sitting right next to the dugout so we whispered to him and winked ;-) Kameron wasn't the only injury that night - Mateo was on second base and wasn't expecting the pitcher to through an out at second, and got hit smack in the face. Nobody really knew what was going on, until John yelled out that he had been hit. It was pretty bad. He was a trooper though, and only sat out a couple innings. Little boys are so resilient...

Kaisha babysat for a family in our ward on Friday (from 4:30-12:30) and then turned around on Saturday at 7:30am for a 4th year camp hike! She was pretty tired, having to get up at 6:30 to get packed and ready. Only five girls showed up, but Kaish was with her good friends Colette and Rachel. They had a good time and the weather was perfect. That night she, Kerianne and I went to the General Young Women Broadcast. Wow! I've never been and am so glad that we took the time to go. The prophet spoke on {COURAGE}. It was a wonderful meeting and just what the young ladies needed to hear.

on a final note: Kaisha ~~ asleep on the floor ~~ again...

Poor Kam! I can't imagine not being able to even ask him if he's ok!! Glad that he is and is doing so well.
