it's strange: I can't wait for the holidays...

I have never really been "into" Christmas, until this year for some reason!
~ I cannot wait to decorate. It's going to take a lot of digging out in that garage, though!
~ I cannot wait to write up our family Christmas letter. It's been 3 or so years since the last; in fact, I bought some dang cute letterhead October of last year to get a good head start, and it still didn't happen!
~ I cannot wait to take the kids shopping, since we're drawing names and buying something fun for each other
~ I especially cannot wait to change my blog background and put up my Christmas playlist. Ah hah: that's totally the reason! I made a new playlist the other night, and found all of my most favorite holiday tunes. Many are old and remind me of my Grandparents and my childhood, and some are new and just sound awesome. I can't wait to share! I told myself that I would hold back on switching my blog until after Thanksgiving - after we get back from Utah. And it is SOOO HARD!


On another note, we still need to get through Thanksgiving. After meeting up with John's family in St. George back in July, we came home and right away made plans to head up and spend Thanksgiving in Tooele (it's a quick trip: arrive at 8am on Thanksgiving and fly out at 6pm the next day). We had enough Southwest vouchers for all of us to fly, since I fly free anywhere John goes; had a free night hotel stay; and got a smokin' deal on a rental car. Now we just need to find cheap airport parking! Anyway, since the reservations were made four months ago, we've been in anticipation ever since! Like my friend Stephanie says: "Only 6 more sleeps"!!

We can't wait to see all of you guys!
