Interesting facts about July 31, 1992:
* It was one of the hottest days on record that year
* The temple was being cleaned / renovated
* One of John's cousins was working on the temple, saw us, and threw us a chunk of granite from the roof - we still have it!
* The east side of the temple was closed, so we had to take pictures on the west side steps with the sun beating on us (our sealing was in the afternoon, and it was HOT!). I love the traditional picture with the temple behind the bride & groom, and ours is definitely unique!
* John and I drove in to Salt Lake together that afternoon, and before we left my Mom gave me one little Valium to help keep me calm - it pretty much knocked me out and I don't remember hardly anything about our ceremony! I had never taken anything like that before and my body apparently didn't agree with it! Funny thing: I wasn't even nervous that day (and really didn't need it!).

Oh how I remember that day. I'm not surprised that it was the hottest day on record- we were miserable standing around outside!!! But I didn't care because I was so excited that you were getting married. And I learned a valuable lesson- when I got married I chose to get married in May when it was nice and cool.
Congratulations!!!
Aim what a crazy day. I remember when they threw down the chunks of granite from the temple. Wasn't it Merrilee's husband? I can't remember who it was for sure but I was thinking it was him. So funny to see the weddng pictures because it really brings back the memories.
Happy Anniversary!
It was Marilee's ex-husband Jim. Aunt Linda made the comment that her Catholic son-in-law was a temple worker.
Your beautiful pictures bring back a lot of memories.
