Daycamp...
Our stake's safari-themed Cubscout Daycamp was a three-day event in June held in Phoenix at Heard Scout Pueblo. I volunteered (yep, I did!) for the final day. Thank heavens by day three the boys knew what to do and where to go (we leaders were just along for the ride!). I believe the temperature that day was 114 degrees, but there were a ton of water features and games to keep us cool. Apparently the boys' job was to keep the leaders WET! We had fun with bb guns, archery, swimming, a mud obstacle course, rock wall climbing, panning for gold pieces, etc. Since it was the final day, the camp people were cruel and turned the obstacle course into a "mud pit" - you should have heard one lady, freaking out about her new car with white interior! What a hoot! Anyway, I am so glad that I made the time to go with Kameron and have fun. We had many water balloon fights with the other scouts, and even caught a frog. Kameron is already anticipating next year's camp. Me - not so much! I may be busy that week :o)

Sounds like so much fun! For the young-uns that don't mind the heat! And that is so cool that Kam got a bulls-eye on his first try at archery!!!
