John & I took a quick trip over to California with Kameron & Kennedi (the girls had to work). The idea was to find a good place to live. We have in mind Upland/Rancho Cucamonga or Chino Hills area. Those are all really lovely places, but after spending the night there and driving around all day, we drove what would be John's commute every day and realized he would be spending 2-3+ hours in the car every day. So not cool!
Since we were near his office, and more importantly the beach, we stopped by to stretch our legs! What a beautiful day it was. The kids were in heaven! I got talking with a lifeguard and mentioned our upcoming move, and she was full of great ideas and information. She highly encouraged us to look for something close to John's office. Since he's basically lived in CA for the last seven years, he knows all too well the difficulties of the traffic!
So on our drive home, we both said "why can't we live near the beach? How awesome would that be! Why live far enough away to save a little money but never see each other?" And that is now the plan! Beach livin', here we come!!
