a bully never wins...

See this little punk kid, Jeffery Brickey?
He did THIS to Kameron:

Kameron gets in the car after school and halfway home says "Look what happened to me today." I look at his arm and FREAK OUT! He tells me that this kid Jeffery in Industrial Tech put a huge glob of hot glue on a stick and slapped it on Kam's arm just for laughs (they were using glue on projects). Kam quickly yanked it off but the damage had already been done. It didn't look too bad so he thought nothing of it.
At home I realize that it's a second-degree burn. I immediately call the school and ask for the Principal. They were all in a meeting so I tell the receptionist that somebody better call me back in five minutes or I'm coming over there in person, and they didn't want that! The Asst. Principal called me back five minutes later! I explained what happened and expressed DEEP concern as this was intentional harm to my child. And this isn't the first time he'd even hurt Kameron... he would hit him with rulers and continually bully him. The Asst. Principal was shocked and reassured me he would address it the following morning and asked Kam to write a letter detailing what transpired and to bring it to school. He spoke with Kam and looked at his arm, which had popped and was an open/oozing wound that we bandaged up. Kam told him that the kids' name was Jeffery but that the yearbook had his picture listed as a "Kobe Williams". So this Kobe kid (an Asian) is called up to the Principal's office and has no clue what is even going on! We find out there had been a mistake in the yearbook (of all the people to have this happen to - sorry, Kobe). They sorted it out with the teacher and Jeffery is called up. He actually admits to it and admits to continually hitting Kam for no reason.
Later on I receive a call saying that they were taking drastic action and punishing him to the full extent for a "Criminal Act". He was suspended for five days! He missed several tests that week he was out. And then they switched him out of that class. That's what you get, jerk!
My Momma Bear instincts came out in full force and it's a darn good thing we were driving in the car and I had a few minutes to compose myself before speaking with the school officials. I had no idea this was happening to Kam and I really freaked out that he'd been hurt. Hopefully by addressing Jeffery's bad behavior early, he will straighten up and head down a better path. I would like to think that, but it's doubtful. All I know... is that you'd better watch out if you're going to hurt one of my kids. You do NOT want to deal with this freakshow when I'm angry!!
