We had the pleasure of attending Santa Rosa's 2nd & 3rd grade concert last night. The turnout was great as the cafeteria was packed. The concert had a patriotic theme with a lot of wonderful songs, and we got to sing along to
God Bless America and
You're a Grand Old Flag at the end. Kennedi was so cute, and even though we could barely see or hear her, we know she did a great job! Kam had to miss his baseball practice that was scheduled at the same time (I can only be in one place at one time!) but he made great progress with his current book - the second
Harry Potter!! In the picture above, you can see Kenners down in the bottom right corner (she was on the floor on the front row - just our luck) and below Kaisha was able to get a close-up...
Kennedi LOVES to sing and the songs in this concert were so fun. They even sang a ditty called
Allegiance Rap! Yes, a rap song of the Pledge of Allegiance. A slide show was also shown of some of the kids' Heroes - pictures and a small description of why that person is their hero. They also listed and recognized Veterans. We definitely have so much to be thankful for in this country...
