mini mission...

Kameron was able to serve a Mini Mission this weekend. He was called to the Downey area Spanish speaking. He served with Elders Bosen & Balmas, from Pocatello, ID and Chicago, IL.

What surprised him most was how fast they speak Spanish and how hard it was to understand! He's taken Spanish in school for two years and could actually understand a little, but they speak so fast.
The favorite person he met was Daniel, at the bus stop. He said that he looked scary with baggy clothes and tattoos and bad teeth, but they decided to go and talk to him. They discussed where we go after death and he said "Heaven". Kam was able to testify of the Book of Mormon (in English) and Daniel committed to reading it and gave them his address. Kam learned a huge lesson about judging others - he wasn't too sure about Daniel from his appearance, but he turned out to be a really great guy.

We asked Kameron if this experience had helped him in being more confident in talking to others... he said yes, that it was easier than he thought! He's going to make a great missionary someday :-)
