who wouldn't want this classy, honest, loving couple in office?!
this was a big presidential election year. not only did we have a mormon running - against the devil himself - but it was kaisha's first official voting year! we didn't have the early ballots, so election day was a little crazy for us. kaisha works a 10-hour shift and wouldn't have been home in time to vote after work, so she got up a little early and got down in the line. there weren't too many people with a last name at the end of the alphabet, so she got in and out pretty quickly and off to work she went. i was still home after my surgery, so i wandered over later in the morning. i was worried about the lines and having to stand for a long period, but it wasn't too bad. john ended up being in california for work on tuesday. he had planned to fly out after voting, but his plans changed and he missed voting. you could've been that one vote that changed everything, babe! lol!!
we were all so excited to vote for mitt and prayed things would turn and be in his favor, but that just wasn't meant to be. we will have another four long & difficult years with president obama. we watched all of the presidential debates and were so impressed with mitt. obama, on the other hand, was a disgrace. it was interesting to watch their eye contact: mitt consistently had it and showed confidence and obama couldn't even look at him (as the picture above shows!). the one good thing that will come out of these next four years, is that obama cannot run again!
