well, easter this year was definitely different than years past! the kids got their candy filled baskets with cute things from deseret book. as a family we got a framed picture of the First Presidency. they also got two delicious egg-shaped sugar cookies from sweet cakes cafe in mesa! what a treat! i bought a dozen so john & i had our share too. we went to church. we had a short family devotional when we got home. i love john's wisdom! kaisha then had to go to work, and at this point the hard-boiled eggs that i slaved over last night are still sitting in the fridge waiting to be colored! no morning egg hunt - no egg hunt at all actually :0( kam & kenners did decide to finally color them!! for dinner we had a spiral honey ham, sour cream potatoes, corn, rolls, and a yummy new jello salad.
we've ventured into new territory now that the kids are grown. it still shocks me that we didn't have an egg hunt! like the song says: Ch-ch-ch-changes!!!
cool & creamy recipe
*************************
1 sm. pkg raspberry jello
1 sm. pkg cook & serve vanilla pudding
2 cups water
frozen raspberries
1 sm. cool whip
mix jello, pudding & water... cook until it thickens & boil for one minute... set in fridge overnight (will turn gel-like overnight)... whip in mixer with the cool whip until creamy... fold in berries that have been slightly thawed (i like them a little frozen - they hold up better)

It's a new phase you are going through as a family, but that also means a chance to start new traditions... :)

sounds delicious! ;)
