terminated...

today i lost my job. i am still in shock. my poor family! they have been so great and supportive - even john all the way from california! i can say that this is the first time I've ever been "let go" before =)

i am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. last week john and i were able to pay off all of our credit cards and another debt (the main reason i went back to work in the first place). we had joked that maybe i would now lose my job, and it would be okay now that these debts were paid. whatdaya know.... voila!!

i am grateful to have the experience of working at a law firm. i am even more grateful for the friends that i made while there -- some i consider "lifers"! i am going to take a couple months to spend with the kids - refocus a bit. we are leaving next week to head for utah and then on to yellowstone. it will be good to see family and friends. it will be great to escape the heat!

i know that this step is a blessing in disguise. it was just so hard to go through this morning. the firm laid off six of us in total. i pray for the others in my same situation.

as soon as i got home this morning, i grabbed the kids and drove straight to the pool!! we needed to get away. then i applied for unemployment after returning home. never done that before!! after summer i will get back out there and find something great =)
