Last night I was surrounded by my children.
It was wonderful.
They were busy:Kameron constructing something out of
popsicle sticks & glue...
Kerianne doing homework...
Kerianne doing homework...
Kennedi quietly playing her DS...(and singing!)
I realized in that moment, looking out upon them from the kitchen, that I love having them around -- surrounding me. They love to be here and to be together, and so do I. The only thing we were missing was John.
We're realizing that in a few short years they will start to leave the nest. We're excited for them to spread their wings and shape their own future. But for now, we will enjoy every minute with them.

What a great moment! I can't believe how fast they are growing up.
Was this on a Sunday? I'm asking because that's exactly the feeling I get on the Sabbath when the whole family is together and no noisy distractions. Don't you wish that feeling could last the whole week? Cherish those times.
