The city...
In Algebra (of all classes!) Kaisha had the opportunity to learn what goes into building a "city". The students even took a trip to Global Water for research. The structures were made out of cardboard, and there was a lot of it piled up at the school! I believe the fire marshall showed up and demanded that the cardboard be removed from the classrooms because of a fire hazard! But anyway, they finally finished and then laid out their city in the gym. They even had to plan out the city's water system (white straws). It was a lot of work to say the least! I will tell you, I was skeptical of the whole thing when I first heard of it (I mean, back in the day, we didn't do anything like that in Algebra!), but after seeing it in person, I was sooo impressed. Kaisha certainly learned a lot from this and has a greater appreciation for things that are taken for granted. See the short slideshow below...

Awesome!! Was this what that fresh & easy model was for?
No, that was last year's! John just took a pic of her holding her f&e and sent it to everyone at f&e, and he's had a ton of responses (even the CEO thought it was awesome!).
Cool!
