Today marks a huge milestone for Kaisha: "promotion" from middle school to high school! In some ways I cannot believe it, and in others it hasn't come a minute too soon! We joined several hundred other people at the middle school this afternoon to witness the great occasion.
At the promotion ceremony, she was third from last to receive her certificate (par for the course, with the last name York!). And she's now dancing the night away at the promotion dance. I'm sure she is going to have a great time with all of her good friends.
Kaisha informed me a month or so ago that she was going to need a nice dress (slightly formal) for her promotion. So, she and I hit the mall in search of something cute, but not too expensive. We really had a great time together. It only took us 20 stores and 3 hours!! No, it was fun to spend an afternoon with her. And wow, did the kids all look great at promotion - some young men were is nice tuxedos and there were several formal dresses. They all looked great - especially Kaish (pic will come soon).
August will be a new chapter: High School - where all the FUN begins! Kaisha really is a mature, responsible, smart young lady, whom we are so proud. I am so excited for her to take this next leap.

awwww...Kaish is growing up! She is so wonderful and I can't wait to see the photo of her all dressed up for her dance!
