I took this picture of Kennedi and her friends surfing... and a couple hours later got a call that she was hurt. She went to stand up on her board and her kneecap dislocated. Two surfers swam over and helped when they heard her calling out. She was able to get to shore but couldn't walk. Steve Frandsen had to carry her - on his back - up that cliff!!
The kneecap popped back into place but was swollen and very sore.
She will wear a knee brace for several weeks and then strengthen the patella. Lots of rest for now!
