It was finally time... the van had been paid off for a year and was starting to give us a few problems, so we decided to take a look at a more fuel efficient car for John and his work commute. I miss the roominess of the van and all the fun features (heated seats, built-in dvd, space!) and especially miss not having a car payment. It was a really good car - I just wished we'd bought it sooner when our kids were younger!
He decided on a new 2014 Toyota Prius Hybrid Plug-in. It not only runs efficiently on gas, but you can plug it in for a couple hours and get about 15 miles on total battery charge. What a huge incentive!
It's been hard to get used to driving (for me at least) and the interior is so different than what we're used to, but when you get 50-60 mpg, how do you complain?! We love this car already :-)
