Today is a glorious day!
I finally scored a reservation for 10 to the Gilbert Temple Open House on Saturday, Feb. 15!
Back in October when the open house dates were announced and they released the date that reservations would be opened, I called Legacy Resort (our timeshare in Phoenix) and booked a weekend stay over Valentine's. I then put a reminder on my calendar to book our reservations on Dec 30. So that morning arrives and I get online first thing, but it was an hour too early. I didn't check back for a couple hours, but when I did, all of the Saturdays were gone! I was freaking out! I called the reservation line and they said I was out of luck and to just show up at the temple and explain our situation and they would let us in. This made John & I really nervous. We're driving 7 hours to get there and would lose our timeshare points if we cancelled, so we were just going to go with it. Well, every day I've been checking online to see if they've opened anything back up, maybe for large groups or something. And this morning they had! I quickly snatched up 10 tickets, as we are taking two of Kerianne's non-member friends with us. We are so excited to visit Phoenix and see Kaisha and Boi and experience the beauty of this special temple. Oh, and let's not forget: eat at Joe's Farm Grill! It's going to be a great trip =)
