let it snow... in flagstaff

a few weeks ago there was a huge storm passing through arizona. since it'd been several years that we've been in the snow, we packed up the fam for an spontaneous overnighter in flagstaff -- where the storm was supposed to hit. what a fun getaway! we got up there after dark and boy... was it COLD! it started to snow right as we got into the hotel and the wind was crazy. the kids & john had fun swimming & hot tubbing. the next morning the kids got plenty cold & wet out in the snow. they had a blast! before heading home we hit sizzler for lunch. we think it's hilarious that we have to drive all the way to flagstaff to eat at sizzler!! i didn't get a picture of the van covered in snow but trust me, it was deep! we do not own a snow scraper so john and i were out there with our hands/arms and a little windshield cleaner thing that i have. i can say that i do not miss the snow =) the drive home was so beautiful with the snow covered pine trees and the gorgeous clouds.
